IST officially recognized as a GWO Training Provider

As of 12 March, Industrial Support and Training Services Additional Educational Center (IST) is proud to announce its official recognition as a certified training provider for the GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) Standard.

The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is an international non-profit organization established by leading wind turbine manufacturers and operators. Its primary mission is to improve safety standards across the global wind industry and support the development of a safe and injury-free working environment.

GWO develops standardized training requirements based on real industry risks and operational challenges faced by wind turbine technicians. These standards ensure that all personnel working in the sector possess the necessary knowledge, practical skills, and safety awareness to perform their duties effectively.

By becoming an official approved GWO training provider, IST meets strict international criteria for training quality, instructor competence, and facility standards. This recognition confirms our commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-relevant training aligned with global best practices.

IST now offers GWO Basic Safety Training, designed for both newcomers to the wind industry and experienced professionals seeking internationally recognized certification. Our programs combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical training, ensuring participants are fully prepared for real working conditions.

All participants who successfully complete GWO training at IST are registered in the WINDA database—the official global platform for training records. A valid WINDA record serves as internationally accepted proof that the individual has achieved the required competencies defined by GWO standards, enabling them to work across the global wind energy sector.

At IST Training Center, we are committed to supporting the growth of the renewable energy workforce by providing world-class training that enhances safety, competence, and career opportunities.
