The Banksman & Slinger training course is designed to prepare specialists capable of ensuring that lifting operations in the industrial and construction sectors are executed safely, accurately, and in full compliance with international HSE standards. This program teaches participants how to establish flawless coordination between the crane operator and ground personnel, as well as the correct management and handling of lifting equipment.

Objective and Target Audience:

Target Group: Personnel directly involved in lifting operations (slingers, signallers, riggers, and site supervisors).

Objective: To comprehensively deliver the training materials to participants and form deeply ingrained safe working habits by applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios during a dedicated 5-hour practical session.
Course Syllabus (15-Hour Module):
The course consists of sequential modules covering all phases of lifting operations:
1. Safety and Legislation

LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations): International legislative framework and requirements for lifting operations.

Risk Assessment and hazard management.
2. Operations Planning and Calculations

Proper selection of the lifting operation method and equipment.

Step-by-step planning of the lifting operation.

Determining and accurately calculating the weight and center of gravity of the load.
3. Execution and Communication

International standard hand and voice signals for communicating with crane operators.

Rigging Loft: Protocols for the proper storage, maintenance, and preservation of lifting accessories prior to operation.
