Boiler Operator Advanced Training Course

The Advanced Training Course for Boiler Operators is designed to improve the professional skills of personnel (workers) operating heat supply systems and boiler plants in industrial and civil facilities. This program provides participants with high-quality theoretical and technical knowledge on the safe operation of boiler houses, accident prevention, and equipment maintenance.

General Information:

  • Duration: 1 to 3 Days (a 24-hour intensive theoretical module, scheduled across days based on demand).

  • Group Size: 10 participants (to ensure a personalized approach and an interactive discussion environment).

  • Target Audience: Frontline workers, current boiler operators, and technical personnel aspiring to acquire this profession.

  • Languages: Azerbaijani / Russian / English.

Course Objective:

The primary objective is to teach all the intricacies of the boiler operator profession, update existing knowledge, and ensure that personnel operate in strict accordance with the latest safety and operational standards.

Course Syllabus:

For ease of comprehension, the training materials are logically divided into the following sequential modules:

1. Introduction to the Profession and Basic Concepts

  • General overview of boiler houses and heat supply systems.

  • Boiler water regimes and chemical water treatment for heating networks.

2. Equipment and Automation

  • Gas pipelines and gas equipment within boiler houses.

  • Types, functions, and operating principles of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) and automation devices.

3. Operation of Boiler Plants (Core 12-Hour Module)

  • Structural design of boilers and piping layout in steam boilers.

  • The water-steam system and primary components of a steam boiler.

  • Layout diagrams of boiler houses and auxiliary equipment.

  • Types of liquid and gaseous fuels; preparation of fuel for combustion.

  • Preparation for boiler start-up, ignition, bringing the boiler online, daily operation, and safe shutdown procedures.

4. Emergency Management and Maintenance

  • Localization and prevention of accidents in boiler houses.

  • Registration and technical inspection of steam and hot-water boilers.

  • Routine maintenance tasks and safe operation protocols.

5. Occupational Health and Safety (4-Hour Module)

  • Fundamentals of occupational health and safety.

  • Industrial sanitation, hygiene, and First Aid.

  • Electrical and Fire safety rules specific to boiler houses.
