The Confined Space Entry training course is designed for personnel required to work in restricted areas as part of their regular operations. The course covers the pre-planning of entry into confined spaces, compliance with relevant legislative requirements, and safe working practices.

General Information:

  • Duration: 1 Day.

  • Group Size: 6–10 participants.

  • Languages: Azerbaijani / Russian / English.

Certification and Accreditation:

Participants who successfully complete the training are awarded an official certificate valid for 2 years.

  • Certificate Format: This certificate is issued within the framework of a joint cooperation between the Scientific-Research Institute of the State Agency for Safe Working in Industry and Mountain-Mining Control of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Industrial Support and Training Services (IST) Additional Education Center. The document fully complies with both local regulatory requirements and international standards.

Objectives and Methodology:

Participants are provided with the opportunity to demonstrate competency in confined space operations through practical tasks and instructions. Additionally, a one-day Breathing Apparatus (BA) User training can be offered as an extension to this course.

Course Syllabus:

  • Legislation: Legal requirements regarding confined spaces.

  • Identification: Definition and identification of confined spaces.

  • Specialized Areas: Safety during trenching and excavation works.

  • Hazard Analysis: Risks encountered in confined spaces.

  • Roles and Responsibilities: Assignment of duties among personnel.

  • Entry Watchman (Stand-by): Specific duties of the attendant and critical focus points.

  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): Specialized equipment for confined space entry.

  • Planning Process: Gas testing, ventilation systems, and development of rescue plans.

  • Practical Exercises: Application of acquired knowledge in a simulated environment.
